During the grinding process, due to high-precision requirements, sometimes mechanical processing cannot meet the specified requirements so that I can only Rely on manual work.

In 1995, Xia graduated from a second-level technical school, entered the factory and became a mechanic.

"Each maintenance must be completed carefully, otherwise it will be easy to decompose after repair, and the work will only increase." After entering the factory, Xia Yuyue always remembered what his owner said and insisted on improving the quality of equipment maintenance. and reduce the occurrence of failures. Hard work pays off. In 1999, Xia ranked the highest in the skill competition organized by the company and was later transferred to the Tools department, specializing in the production of high-precision equipment.

In the field of special equipment processing, in order to meet high-precision processing standards, special fixtures are manufactured, and measuring tools and molds that meet the requirements is an important guarantee. "The processing is like a chef who cuts vegetables. It requires cutting 10 mm, and even cutting 9.99 mm is not qualified," said Xia Yuyoyi.

In 2003, due to his outstanding performance in work, Xia Yuyu became the team leader at that time. At one time, the factory dispatched a batch of processing tasks to perform stop measurement tables for plane plugs, requiring them to be completed within a month. Small plug meter has errors in accuracy reaching 0.005 mm. Due to the limitations of mechanical processing equipment and tools 20 years ago, the accuracy of relying on mechanical processing can only reach 0.02 mm. This undoubtedly poses a huge challenge to Xia, who has no experience in dealing with products with similar precision.

Next month, Xia works late at night almost every day. Gradually, he became more and more proficient in using documents, and he also led the team to successfully complete the factory-issued plug gauge processing task. “If you are doing precision machining, you don’t seem to have a lot of movement like ‘melt’, but you are actually using skilled power to exert power. This skilled power is real kung fu year after year. ” Xia said.

Although his level has been improving, he has also led the team members to make progress together. Saw, archive, drill and chisel are important basic skills for fitters. In the past, due to different training models, fitters were usually responsible for only one of the tasks. “At the time, many workers had relatively single skills. To accomplish the task, I tried to gradually break down the processing barriers in the team, let the workers learn from each other and eventually realize the “multifunctionality” of the workers,” said Xia Yuyoyi.

In 2023, the Xia National Technical Expert Studio was established, dedicated to talent training, technical research and technological innovation. With his efforts, the company's young people grew rapidly. He directed the company's young fitter, Li, to participate in the employee labor and skills competition in Chongqing manufacturing, and won the first place in the project.
