The 2025 Hannover Metal Processing World Tour Press Conference Was Held In Chengdu
On February 28, the 2025 Hannover Metal Processing Industry (EMO) Tourism Press Conference was held in Chengdu. Dr. Chairman of the Board of Directors of Hannover Exhibition Company, Dr. Executive Chairman of the German Machine Tool Manufacturers Association (VDW), and representatives of the Enterprise and Business Association of Chengdu participated in the event on the same day.
According to reports, the theme of Hannover Metal Processing World (EMO) in 2025 is "Innovative Manufacturing" and will be held in Germany from September 22 to 26. As the world's leading trade fair for production technology, Emo is the only international event to showcase the complete industrial chain in the field of metal processing, covering all topics from mechanical tools, production systems, highly measured, covering all topics. Leading companies from the global industrial sector, including mechanical engineering, automobile manufacturing, aerospace, metal processing and processing, medical technology, energy supply and electronics industries.
According to the organizers, more than 2,900 tourists from China’s 2023 emo are from China. This year's tourism press conference was held in Chengdu, Beijing, Jinan, Shanghai and Shenzhen respectively.
In 2024, China's total machine tools value is about US$2.9 billion, ranking at the highest level in the world and is the world's largest manufacturer. Machine tool exports account for about 29% of the total output, and the main customer base is distributed in the electrical CNC services, mechanical engineering and automotive industries. For metal processing companies, mechanical engineering and automobile manufacturing are their core needs and are therefore the main professional audience of emo.
As a major exhibitor in Asia, China is currently participating in the exhibition, including Laser, Tied, Vida Heavy Industry and other well-known suppliers. These industry leaders not only bring innovative solutions in their respective metalworking fields, but also demonstrate their leadership as a global market. In this exhibition, the products provided by China cover modern metal processing systems, especially lathes, milling machines and related processing equipment.

In 2025, Emo will celebrate its 50th anniversary. Since its establishment in 1975 for half a century, the exhibition has focused on promoting expertise in the metal processing industry and has played a leading role in shaping the future direction of the metal processing industry. Emo has now grown into a regular global event.
