Hannover Metal Processing World Promotes It Here, Inviting Chinese Exhibitors And Audiences To Participate In The Exhibition
The 2025 Hannover Metal Processing World (EMO) will be held in September with the theme of "Innovative Manufacturing". On February 27, the reporter learned from a press conference held by exhibition organizers in Shenzhen that 255 Chinese companies participated in the exhibition.
Dr. Executive President of the organizer of the German Machine Tool Manufacturers Association (VDW) emphasized at a press conference that "as a unique dialogue platform, Emo connects manufacturers and users in the global industry." In 2023, emo attracted more than 1,800 companies from 45 countries and regions to participate in the exhibition, with approximately 92,000 professional audiences from nearly 140 countries and regions coming here. Among them, more than 2,900 tourists are from China.
In 2024, China's total machine tools value is about US$2.9 billion, ranking at the highest level in the world and is the world's largest manufacturer. Machine tool exports account for about 29% of the total output, with the main customer base distributed in the electrical, mechanical engineering and automotive industries. For metal processing companies, mechanical engineering and automobile manufacturing are their core needs and are therefore the main professional audience of emo.
The reporter learned from the press conference. As the main exhibitor in Asia, 255 Chinese companies participated in the exhibition, including Laser, Tied, Vida Heavy Industry and other well-known suppliers. These industry leaders not only bring innovative solutions in their respective metalworking fields, but also demonstrate their global market leadership. In this exhibition, the products displayed by Chinese exhibitors cover modern metal processing systems, especially lathes, milling machines and related processing equipment.
It is estimated that China's machine tool consumption has increased to US$26 billion last year. "Currently, decision makers in the Chinese metal processing industry focus on machine tools in Japan and Germany," said the doctor. "But their involvement in emo is to learn about a wide range of machine tools, solutions and services around the world, meet new suppliers and prospects, and build new partnerships with prospects."
Challenges such as intensifying competition, investors waiting, rising costs, increasing demand for sustainable products - such as challenges are everywhere. In many places, the lack of skilled workers has also hindered the development of the industry to a certain extent, and new technologies such as artificial intelligence and additive manufacturing have been introduced, requiring practitioners to continue technical training.
It is reported that in the 2025 Emo, nearly 1,300 exhibitors from 35 countries and regions will bring solutions to the above challenges. Industry experts will conduct in-depth discussions on global trends such as automation, digitalization, artificial intelligence and sustainability, and grasp the future direction of metal processing.
In addition, in this exhibition, visitors can see a wide variety of automation solutions. The "Cooperative Robot Zone" of the Joint Booth will further focus on the field of automation and focus on displaying collaborative robots and their potential uses, including chins, machine vision, measurement systems, software, software, industrial electronic components, material supply systems, etc.
The Sustainable Development Zone will provide an excellent communication platform for viewers to experience future sustainable production solutions. Exhibitors will introduce relevant information such as energy efficiency trends, renewable energy integration, recycling and life cycle concepts. In an era of scarcity of energy and raw materials, these solutions not only promote climate protection, but also help reduce production costs.
Digitalization and networking have always been important issues in the production field. Today, the development of artificial intelligence has further accelerated data analytics, helping to improve productivity and grow new businesses. The semiconductor industry plays a key role in the development and application of digital technologies. Emo 2025 will build an “Artificial Intelligence + Digital Region” to show investors in the industry the latest network solutions integrating AI.
